The USA offers some of the best medical care in the world. However, it is very expensive. Purchasing a visitors medical insurance policy is a very important part of planning your trip to the USA.
Visitors medical insurance is short term medical insurance that provides coverage for unforeseen illnesses or injuries that may occur during your visit to the USA. In general coverage is provided for eligible medical expenses, doctor's office visits, hospital charges, surgery fees, prescription drugs, x-rays, lab work, and other related medical expenses.
We recommend you purchase Visitors medical insurance from your home prior to departure to the USA. However, you may also purchase Visitors medical insurance if you or your relatives have already arrived in the USA.

Flight Accident Insurance
Also known as Travel Accident Insurance - Flight Accident and/or Common Carrier Accident Insurance pays you, or your beneficiary (or your estate if you do not name a beneficiary) a lump sum benefit (e.g., $500,000) when an accident results in your death or the loss of a limb or the loss of your eyesight. There are 2 major types of Travel Accident insurance:
Flight Accident AD&D insurance pays a benefit only for accidents involving an airplane during the coverage period.
Common Carrier AD&D insurance pays a benefit only for accidents involving a common carrier during the coverage period.
"Common Carrier" means any licensed land, water, or air conveyance operated by those whose occupation or business is the transportation of persons without discrimination and for hire (e.g., airplane, train, bus, subway, tram, ferry, cruise ship, taxi, limo, etc.).
Flight Accident and Common Carrier insurance does include coverage in the case of a Terrorist, event.

Annual Multi-Trip
Also known as Multi-Trip Travel Insurance - Annual Multi-Trip plans cover all trips throughout the year, subject to a maximum length of 15 - 180 days per-trip, depending on the plan.
Most plans include Travel Medical insurance which reimburses you for emergency medical expenses incurred when you are traveling far from home. 24/7 emergency assistance, emergency medical evacuation, accidental death insurance, and other benefits are often included as well. Trip protection benefits are very limited. If you are looking for a plan that includes trip cancellation, interruption, and travel delay benefits then the single trip travel protection plans will be your best bet.
Schengen Visa Insurance
Many foreign embassies require that you obtain medical insurance to secure your visa.
If you are traveling to any of the 24 countries listed below for either tourism or business, you may need to show proof of adequate medical insurance coverage at the time of visa application, before the visa can be granted.
Not all countries of the European Union are part of the Schengen area.
Schengen Countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Additionally, Schengen coverage is provided for Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Acceptable medical insurance for Schengen Visa must meet the following criteria. Medical coverage of at least $37,500 and the company that is offering the insurance must have a representative office in Europe.
Upon completion of your online purchase you will receive an email confirmation that contains your "Certificate of Coverage". You can print that out and take it with you to the consulate at the time of Visa application.
Student Travel Insurance
